Graphic design has the tendancy to cross over to other areas of design - packaging, clothing, products - the borders aren't clear.
Although my passion is illustration and print, product design and development is a very fun area to work in.
I am constantly thinking about how existing items could be improved. I guess that is just part of being a designer.
