Farmer Jo 2018 Easter Show Mural

Farmer Jo is a premium australian-owned muesli brand based in Byron. They make Granola that is basically like crack and I’d happily eat it for every meal.

Amongst many other cool things I make for the brand, in March they asked me to create a wallpaper for the walls of their show stall at The 2018 Sydney Royal Easter Show.

After a little brain-storming and briefing discussion with the client, we decided upon a huge mural showing the brand’s awesome customer types (women, men, children, families, parents, friends) living their best lives (being active, being cool, being happy) alongside FJ’s amazing products. 👌🏻 The mural was intended to also be also a new long term brand asset too, something we could use parts of for future material.

The illustration consisted of 3 unique repeatable panels that are 2.4m high by 0.5m wide each and then duplicated along all the walls … so, huge – definitely my largest work to date.

The final show walls were blue, but was designed to be workable in a multitude of the brands fun colours for future applications.

It was an incredibly fun week to illustrate it all and I even worked in some sneaky cameos of my favourite people – they know who they are.

VIDEO: Me pretending to draw at 4x speed, for when the client requests some “behind the scenes” footage for a promo video and you need to pretend to make it after its already finished, lol.
